In a world where companies are reissuing the same product with a new color or the same machine with a different cover panel; PROMATION has sprung into 2020 with a solid leap on a brand new soldering system.
While all the details and specificiations have not been entirely released to the public yet, here is a breakdown of what we know:
PROMATION USA’s team has been busily working in the background, from the ground up, on a new robotic soldering solution; dubbed “The Panda Series”. Initial work begain in Autumn of 2019 with a debut date still yet to be determined but with the high likelyhood of release in Spring of 2020.

The new Panda Series system comes as overseas import tariffs continue to perservere and the desire for some stateside, USA based, engineered solutions have demonstrated an increase in demand and popularity.

So what exactly is the PANDA Series System? Well here’s what we can share:
The PANDA Series System is an entirely new take on the in-line soldering robot. As a matter of fact, the name “Panda” is quite fitting as the new system facilitates the coming together of 2 opposites (Western and Eastern Thinking; that tend to bare some stark contrasts - eg. black and white). It features a completely redesigned soldering head (with specs yet to be released), Adaptive and Dynamic Vision Based Soldering Profile Programming, Intelligent Z-Axis, Online Remote Support Access (Including Augmented Reality Support Ready), MES Network Capability, completely redesigned soldering work cell exterior with Panoramic Glass Roof and Front Panel, and much more.
The PANDA Series Soldering System is PROMATION’s latest entry for the upcoming 2020 Global SMT and Packaging’s “New Soldering Technology” Award and set to make an inital debut at the 2020 IPC APEX Expo; with full press release coming available shortly thereafter.
